The project consists of six rock formed volumes that have a spatial relationship forming canyons towards the inner courtyards. Inspired by the classical room layout of traditional Arab culture, the design establishes a contemporary interpretation of the courtyard house with a maximum amount of privacy. Through the controlled filtering of daylight using a parametric ornamental design inspired by centuries-old mashrabiya patterns, the project responds in an optimal manner to local climatic conditions.
