A residential project in St. Johann in Tirol that preserves most of the site as a public green park. Three buildings with 70 apartments reinterpret alpine architecture through contemporary forms, local materials, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Situated in St. Johann in Tirol, the project replaces existing buildings while preserving approximately 60% of the site as green space, conceived as a semi-public park and private gardens that reinforce the relationship with the surrounding alpine context.
The development comprises three residential buildings with 70 apartments and small office units. The architecture balances references to the local context with a contemporary approach, establishing a clear identity rooted in the region. South-facing façades maximise daylight and open views toward the Kitzbüheler Horn, while north-facing façades frame views of the Kaisergebirge mountain range.
Material choices play a central role in the design. An exposed bush-hammered concrete exoskeleton and a secondary wooden façade layer define the architectural character, while generous terraces and loggias extend the living spaces into the landscape and provide a high level of privacy.
