A private residence that reinterprets local vernacular architecture through a contemporary structural and spatial approach.
The project is conceived as a contemporary reinterpretation of local vernacular architecture, translating traditional alpine forms into a clear structural and spatial concept. The residence is organized around five vertical pillars that transform into Y-shaped beams, creating a continuous structural system extending from the ground floor to the pitched roof.
The main living spaces are located beneath the sloped roof, opening toward panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The lower levels accommodate the bedrooms and a wellness area, which extends into a private garden with a pool, creating a continuous relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Architectural elements draw from local traditions, reinterpreting features such as deep roof overhangs and wrap-around balconies through a contemporary façade. Fluid curves connect columns and beams, shaping a cohesive architectural language that extends toward the alpine landscape.
Access is discreetly integrated through an underground garage and a pedestrian staircase linking the street to the elevated main entrance. By raising the villa above street level, the design preserves privacy and minimizes the visual impact of vehicular access, maintaining the calm character of the site.
