A series of site-specific interventions including mountain stations and a hut, completes and enhances the Ponte di Legno ski infrastructure.
The project addresses the completion of a ski facility in Ponte di Legno, in Val Camonica, through a coordinated set of architectural and infrastructural interventions. The proposal includes the integration of three new cableway lines, along with buildings dedicated to shelter, dining, and an exhibition space focused on the cultural, historical, and landscape heritage of the site.
The design approach is rooted in a careful reading of the natural landscape, local vernacular architecture, and the identity of the alpine context. Four architectural interventions are introduced across the site, each responding to specific functional and topographical conditions while contributing to a coherent overall vision.
Together, the interventions enhance the ski area at an infrastructural level while shaping a continuous architectural experience that accompanies visitors through the landscape. The project establishes a strong relationship between built form, movement, and territory, integrating contemporary architecture into the alpine environment with clarity and restraint.
